Career & University Readiness Programme (CURP) provides inclusive, participatory career guidance & assistance for young people in Uganda, both in schools & in the communities. It was started in 2014 at Lira Town College. Thousands of students have already benefited in northern Uganda, and beyond.
This is an annual, virtual gathering of students, teachers, parents, activists & other stakeholders, discussing academic and non-academic issues regarding the education.
“As a teacher, it is important to prepare students to pass their UACE exams. However, I also realized that it is equally important to prepare them for higher education and world of work. Career guidance enables us transform results into skills. Above all, career guidance enables young people to achieve their dreams, and live long, meaningful, impactful lives after schooling.”

TESI guided me through every step of the university application process, helped my parents understand the process, and provided me with valuable career guidance & support.
I was able to learn the different pathways to the degree, including the Higher Education Access Certificate (HEAC). I am grateful for all the support extended to me during my vacation.
I had given up on education, but Emmanuel encouraged me to apply. I was admitted to Lira University, and he helped me apply for loan scheme. Luckily, I was awarded the study loan. Thank you very much.
The TESI career programme has helped me identify suitable careers. It has helped me on career choices. It has helped me develop career goals. It has helped me overcome career obstacles. And helped me identify the benefits of my career.
