DESCRIPTION:The system of education in Uganda has a structure of 7 years of primary education\, 6 years of secondary education divided into 4 years of lower secondary and 2 years of upper secondary school)\, and 3 to 5 years of post-secondary education. After each of these levels of education\, it is necessary for students to have sufficient career guidance information & resources to enable one continue well with the chosen education or career choice. \nTherefore\, well planned and well-organized career guidance services are increasingly important for students at all levels of education (OECD). This is because career selection is one of many important choices students will make in determining future plans. This decision will impact them throughout their lives. This virtual event seeks to engage young people\, and parents about contemporary career routes available after each level of education. Furthermore\, this event will shine a light on the newly introduced 4th pathway to the university programme\, the Higher Education Access Certificate (HEC).
