WordCamp Lira 2024 was a success
WordCamp Lira 2024 finally happened. This inaugural WordCamp happened on August 24, 2024 at Lira Town College. The organizers, led by our ED, Emmanuel Angoda, were excited to host the participants. Over 50 participants attended this event, which for most of them, was first the time attending a WordCamp.
Participants were drawn from across the country – Nebbi, Kampala, Masaka, Entebbe, Gulu, Kotido, Alebtong and many other places. There were both teenagers and adults. A total of 14 speakers made presentations focusing on various topics in website development and WordPress in general.
According to the participants, the events was well organized, with everything flowing one smoothly as planned. Most the organizing team members and volunteers were drawn from TESI management team, and volunteers. And as, micro-sponsors for the event, the TESI brand was very visible at the event.
